Ford Galaxy Wont Turn Over

first off i own i ford galaxy 2.3 ghia AUTOMATIC 98 R PET/LPG

 

 

RIGHT when its cold it will start no bother when its been runing it wont have to wait like an hr b4 i can restart it

 

i have tryed waggling the AUTO gear shift but that dont work its acting like its a temp thing

what i need it some with vag com in manchester so i can see what the deal is i am willing to pay for this so if you have any ideas (usefull please) i thank all you help with the last topic but it got messed up

As I said on your other thread, yours is a 2.3 a Ford engine, VAG COM will not talk to it, you need a generic code reader or hooking up to Fords own diagnostic machine

right i have been di*king about and found out than if i disconect the batt leave for a bit and reconect it starts but still wont restart so gawd knows its geting on me chest now any ideas i am gonna look in to finding a garage 2 morrow

I am not sure of the exact arrangement but the symptom you describe in terms of disconnecting the battery indicates a relay which is not being reset by the ingition system therefore preventing restarts, I would check out the relay box to see which relay drops when you disconnect the battery and reinitialises when you start the first time and replace it.

hi i dont know if this will help you i also own a ford galaxy 2.3 auto :D which when running right is a very nice motor but about five months ago :) not such a nice car. the car would start drive o.k but when i parked and returned it would not turn over let alone start i tried fiddling with the gear selector to no avail. mine has a red L.E.D in the drivers door this would flash for one minute continually then start doing a series of code flashes 1-6 (one flash then a pause then six flashes) this is telling you to go to FORD :D i had no choice but to pay ford :o
